Description

The available UK stock of 6-packs is shown above.

Six half bottles and three different wines in a really neat flatpack. Just £5 a half bottle. All the wines are drinking well now, as of the end of 2023, and there's plenty of life in them yet - especially the red and the white. The rosé should be drunk by the end of 2024.

This 6-half bottle case contains;

2 half bottles 37.5cl Ch Bauduc Les Trois Hectares blanc 2020
2 half bottles 37.5cl Ch Bauduc Rosé 2020
2 half bottle 37.5cl Ch Bauduc Bordeaux Supérieur rouge 2018

Please note that this case is 6 half-bottles (6 x 37.5cls) and for calculating for delivery costs, it counts as half a normal 6-bottle case (6 x 75cls). So the equivalent for free delivery in England and Wales (normally 12 x 75cl bottles) is either 4 x 6 half-bottle packs, or 2 x 6 half-bottles plus 1 x 6-bottle pack. Les Trois Hectares blanc 2020. 'Inexpensive white Bordeaux that over-delivers handsomely for the price' is how a Master of Wine described Les Trois Hectares. We agree.

These halves are really good now, we think, as of December 2023. Life in 'em yet, too. Handy if you're not overdoing it.

The back label: "Les Trois Hectares is a single vineyard of old Sémillon vines (about 80%) and Sauvignon Blanc that were planted in 1947. This 'field blend' was harvested in September. A dry white that works well with good food or simply on its own."

Rosé 2020. Our crisp, pale pink has been the house rosé for Rick Stein for many years. A sort of St-Tropez meets Padstow.

The back label: "This dry rosé was made from equal parts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The grapes were harvested earlier in September than for making red, and the pale juice quickly run off the dark skins for a light, crisp wine." 12% vol.

Bordeaux Supérieur 2018. Drinking well after a couple of years in (half) bottle. Half bottles can be really handy if you don't want to open a full bottle, hence we produced a few of the 2018. We used a brand of cork called Diam which eliminates the risk of cork taint.

The back label: "2018 was a fine vintage with a damp spring, a hot summer and a sunny harvest. A medium to full bodied blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, this can be kept for a few years although it's supple and fruity enough to enjoy quite young." 14% alc.
