'Have loved this beautiful place: the chestnut candles, the new leaves on the vines, the cuckoo in the morning, fireside in the evening, abundant wine, delicious food. C'est parfait - merci!"

'Quite frankly it’s impossible not to enjoy yourself here. With the sun out and the doors open, the glorious outside beckons. With the rain lashing down, the open fire brings out the best in everyone. We also had a huge amount of Bauduc! Gavin and Angela are so welcoming that it’s impossible not to feel at home.' 'Such a fabulous time! We were so lucky with some great weather and we enjoyed a wonderful Easter here. Great trips to Bordeaux, St Emilion and Les Sources de Caudalie and a great tour of the vineyard from Gavin. Enjoyed lots of the local food and the delicious Bauduc wines!'

'What a special place. Thank you so much for being fabulous hosts. We all had a wonderful time - we particularly enjoyed our hike up the dunes, and the boys loved their pony trek. 'What a glorious place! We have loved our week in the farmhouse and thank you so much for your hospitality and welcoming attention. I so enjoyed the vineyard tour - so interesting and have learnt a lot about the juice we have enjoyed so much this week. It's been a bit of a grastronomic week - great visit to Europe's biggest sand dune at Plage Pilat, and even better visit to Plage Petit-Nice watching the rollers and hang gliders. Fantastic beach.'

'What a fabulous stay! We just love this homely farmhouse (2nd visit). Lots of ideas for resturants - Chez Titut in Creon has excellent waiters and service, and great food. St Emillion is a must to visit, and the the Abbey ruins close by! Thank you Angela and Gavin - we will definitely see you again! Oh - and the Boulangerie in Creon - amazing food!'

'As ever, a fantastic stay. Thanks to Gavin and Angela for being relaxed and helpful hosts. Chez Titut in Créon Square is great food and great value. Go on a sunny day and sit in the garden! The creperie in the same square is also delicious, but first chill, be patient, watch the world go by, as they are not quick – but it’s worth it!'

'A truly fabulous time was had by all. Parfait! The farmhouse is the best ever for us – encircled by vines; so well equipped; a never ending supply of wine (subsidised); many an evening walk around the yards.
Highlights (aside from the Estate):
- St Marcaire – medieval sword fighting
- St Emilion – lunch in the most beautiful village
- St Angela – Uber services
- Bordeaux – a fine city
- Ch Roquetaillade & de la Brede
The history of the English & French everywhere to be seen.
Above all, it was a great family time relaxing together- swim, eat, drink repeat.'

We followed some previous recommendations that all worked out well – Chateau Roquetaillade is worth a visit (book a tour in English beforehand if you needed to). We had perfect weather and were made very welcome by Gavin. The farmhouse and pool suited us all very well.
