Sauvignon Blanc 2018
The back label: ‘A long, dry summer followed a wet spring, so our September harvest of 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sémillon was of super quality. This delicious, estate-grown dry white has been the house wine for Gordon Ramsay and Rick Stein for 15+ years.’ 13% alc.
Les Trois Hectares Blanc 2018. A lovely, dry white Sémillon from old vines. Victoria Moore of the Telegraph described this once as 'meadowy…'.
The back label: ‘Les Trois Hectares is a single, seven acre block of old Sémillon vines which were planted in 1947, along with some Sauvignon Blanc (about 20%) in the same field. Dry, aromatic and great with food - or simply on its own.'’ 12.5% alc.
Les Trois Hectares Rouge 2016. A lovely, powerful wine from a special plot of vines and aged in small French oak barrels. 2016 is a top Bordeaux vintage.
The back label: ‘A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from a single vineyard, this medium to full-bodied red was aged in French oak barrels. Lovely to drink young or keep it for a few years. Best decanted but not essential.’ 14% alc.
Bordeaux Supérieur 2017. The 2017 red has turned out really well and has become our firm house favourite. Easy, all-round drinking.
The back label: ‘This is a classic Bordeaux blend of three quarters Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium to full bodied and partially aged in oak, it’s easy, fruity and supple enough to drink quite young. Serve with good food.’ 13.5% alc.
