Hand-crafted Crémant can be great value as a dry sparkling wine made traditionally like Champagne, but not from that famous area. £16 a bottle.
The back label: 'We hand picked the grapes from a block of Sémillon which we had planted 12 years earlier, and pressed and cool fermented the juice. A second fermentation in bottle created a sparkling wine using the 'méthode traditionnelle'. It is dry, elegant and refreshing.' 11% vol.
See our nifty 'best to drink' graphic on the back label, a few pics from the vineyard and process below, or our 'Restaurant listings' which show you're in good company.
The same wine is available 'UK duty free' from our WineCollect.com site: collect from Calais or the Château.

“This is a beautiful château run by London rat-race exiles Angela and Gavin Quinney. They make excellent red, white and rosé, all marked by their sheer drinkability and by their true sense of Bordeaux style. Affordable, approachable, Bordeaux needs another 100 Bauducs – and fast.”Oz Clarke’s Wine Buying Guide
